Isha helps provide education about the pelvic floor muscles and how to care for them. This may include recommendations for lifestyle changes such as proper posture and behavioral modifications. Pelvic floor physiotherapy involves exercises to strengthen the Pelvic floor muscles which can help improve bladder/ bowel control and it helps manage the symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse as well. The Therapy includes Internal and external both types of assessment and an individualized treatment plan based on the specific needs of a patient.

Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy, also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive treatment technique used to address conditions like tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, calcific tendinopathy, muscle strains and other chronic pain syndromes. The therapy uses high-energy sound waves that are directed at the injured tissues to stimulate blood flow, reduce inflammation and enhance tissue regeneration process.
Bundled Care Physiotherapy
North Dumfries Physiotherapy is affiliated with local hospitals for patients to receive treatment following their total hip and total knee replacement surgeries. Once you have been scheduled for your hip or knee replacement surgery, give us a call to schedule your first visit. Your surgeon will want you to be seen within the first 7-10 days following your surgery.
On your first Bundled Care visit, please bring with you: the paperwork that the hospital provided you, the prescription from your surgeon and your Ontario health card.
Bundled Care physiotherapy is fully covered for eligible patients, meaning no out-of-pocket expenses.
In-Home Physiotherapy
In-home physiotherapy is a service where a licensed physiotherapist provides physio treatments and rehabilitation in the comfort of a patient's home, rather than in a clinic. This type of service is ideal for individuals who have mobility issues, prefer the convenience of staying at home, or are recovering from surgery or injury and need one-on-one care.
